Merriwood at Camp Morty
Merriwood, an expanded feature of Camp Morty serving underserved teens offering a safe space to build empowerment, agency, and community, is returning for its second summer!
Merriwood Programs include a weekly service project, leadership development workshops, mentorship opportunities, and professional development. We can’t provide this valuable experience to our kids without you!
Merriwood cabins are currently in the process of necessary rehabilitation.

Camp Morty has offered a life changing experience to hundreds of children in foster care, who are homeless or in child protective services for nearly fifteen years. In 2023 we opened Merriwood, an extension of Camp Morty for teens, that will allow more underserved kids throughout Westchester, experience summer camp while attending development workshops in preparation for their futures.
Merriwood at Camp Morty provides special access to summer camp at the unique and beautiful Sal J. Prezioso Mountain Lakes Park. Merriwood will foster a respect for the environment within our beautiful park setting for future generations to come.
At Merriwood at Camp Morty, teens attend two-week sessions in small groups and participate in transformative programs equipping them with tools to craft a bright future. Along with the swimming, campfires and fun, we are creating specialized teen programming, featuring personal development sessions focused on coping skills, stress and behavior management techniques and goal setting practices.
