We are collaborating with the Bronx River Alliance in a community science program to assess the water quality of the Bronx River. Each Thursday, a small group of trained stewards conduct sampling at the Clean River Project Tuckahoe boom location. Parameters include dissolved oxygen, pH, nitrites, salinity, temperature, and microplastics. This project aims to further our understanding of the toxins in the Bronx River, how they affect the environment, and spread public awareness of the water quality and ways to improve the Bronx River.
