Santa Fun Run + Walk
Support our amazing county parks system by joining us for Westchester Parks Foundation's first ever Santa Fun Run! This is a non-competitive fun run which gives participants the exclusive opportunity to run or walk through Westchester’s Winter Wonderland light show! Dress up as Santa, a Reindeer, an Elf, or any other of your favorite holiday characters! Tickets and parking are limited, so act fast!

Since 1968 the Westchester Sports Hall of Fame has honored more than 200 outstanding professional and amateur sportsmen and sportswomen, living or deceased, who have gained prominence in their fields and who have made substantial contributions to sports in Westchester County.

Duck Derby
Please join Westchester Parks Foundation for our First Annual Duck Derby!
On Thursday, August 1st (5:30pm - 7:30pm), WPF will be holding a rubber duck raffle race, using the Lazy River Pool at Tibbetts Brook Park (355 Midland Ave, Yonkers)! Please join us for an evening of games, prizes, and music! Come out and support this great event, with all proceeds benefitting the Westchester Parks Foundation.
Food and drink will be available for purchase (alcohol for 21+). Free ice cream for kids!
You do not need to be present to win prizes. All adults much purchase at least one duck to enter (kids are free).

Saturday Green Squad at Lasdon Park
Every Saturday from April to November, Lasdon Park's Green Squad Volunteers can help keep Lasdon Park looking beautiful. Green Squad volunteers work with Lasdon staff on tasks such as invasive species removal, planting, watering, weeding, trail maintenance, mulching, trash clean up, and other tasks. The scheduled tasks will rotate weekly throughout Lasdon's 234 acres.
No experience is necessary. Come in weather appropriate clothes (coat, rain gear, hat sunscreen, insect repellent); closed-toed footwear and pants are required. Gloves and tools will be provided. Please bring your own snacks, lunch, and water bottle. This opportunity is perfect for families ages 14+ and for groups.
Green Squad at Blue Mountain Reservation
Volunteers are needed to do maintenance on recently planted native trees and shrubs, cut back invasive plants and pick up litter. No experience is necessary and all supplies will be provided.

Aquatic Invasive Plant Management at Wampus Pond
Volunteers are needed to remove invasive plants from Wampus Pond using waders or rowboats. No experience is necessary and all supplies will be provided, but please bring your own water. Volunteers should wear clothes that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes and socks are needed for the waders.

Saturday Green Squad at Lasdon Park
Every Saturday from April to November, Lasdon Park's Green Squad Volunteers can help keep Lasdon Park looking beautiful. Green Squad volunteers work with Lasdon staff on tasks such as invasive species removal, planting, watering, weeding, trail maintenance, mulching, trash clean up, and other tasks. The scheduled tasks will rotate weekly throughout Lasdon's 234 acres.
No experience is necessary. Come in weather appropriate clothes (coat, rain gear, hat sunscreen, insect repellent); closed-toed footwear and pants are required. Gloves and tools will be provided. Please bring your own snacks, lunch, and water bottle. This opportunity is perfect for families ages 14+ and for groups.
Green Squad at Silver Lake Preserve
Volunteers are needed to remove litter and invasive vines from Silver Lake Preserve. No experience is necessary and all supplies will be provided.
What to know:
Dress for the weather; check the forecast before leaving
Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and items that can get dirty
Bring your own reusable water bottle
Gloves will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you have them

Volunteers will remove litter and debris from the trails at Marshlands Conservancy. No experience is necessary and all supplies will be provided.

Native Planting at Marshlands Conservancy
