In Celebration of Giving Tuesday: Trail Maintenance at Ridge Road Park

Join us on the largest day of giving back globally, Giving Tuesday, for a trail maintenance project in preparation to launch the first ever Adaptive Hike Program in Westchester County Parks.

Westchester Parks Foundation seeks to launch an adaptive hike program providing equitable access to nature and fitness for our community members. We will purchase two trail-capable, adaptive wheelchairs that will be available for community members to reserve in four different county parks. This program will allow individuals living with spinal cord injury, amputation, paraplegia, are elderly, or have other disabilities the opportunity to immerse themselves in our trail system as any other able-bodied individual.  This program will also offer caregivers the ability to continue their fitness goals, create a unique space to build relationships, and increase the physical and mental wellbeing of our community. With your help, we can remove barriers and get people hiking!

Please consider increasing your impact by not only volunteering but contributing funds at TheWPF.org/ParksAreForEveryone
