Lake Revitalization at Tibbetts Brook Park

Volunteers will be assisting our summer Greenterns in removing water chestnut from the lake. No experience is required.

No experience is necessary! All tools and work gloves will be provided but please bring your own water. Volunteers should wear clothes that can get wet, dirty, and closed toe shoes.

Volunteers will be on land & in canoes hand pulling an invasive aquatic plant from the lake. Volunteers not going out in rowboats will work from land or wear waders standing in the water.

With these efforts we will be able to provide clean water available for the return of native species, the use of the lake for recreation, and overall enhancement to the quality of life for over 100,000 community members!

Registered volunteers will receive an email with location details and an insurance waiver 1 day before the event. Please add volunteer@thewpf.org to your address book to ensure you receive this information.

For last-minute signups or if you do not receive our email, please call our office at (914) 231-4600 or email volunteer@thewpf.org
